A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Francisco Carballar hit a great ball. Leif Puls could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. In the 21st minute Arthur Kiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benni Skovhus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Einar Artke's late challenge caught a Chile's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arthur Kiel to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benni Skovhus saved Stevnstrup from getting behind. Chile's Mariano Lacasa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Benni Skovhus in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Svenning Jaaen tried in the game's 59th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Benni Skovhus. An annoying self made goal, 0-2. 64 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benni Skovhus. Stevnstrup's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lacasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Mariano Lacasa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benni Skovhus came out and tried to block the shot, but Mariano Lacasa slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 68th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Stevnstrup's zone, Mariano Lacasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benni Skovhus came out of the goal and Mariano Lacasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Nico-Pascal Kapteina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benni Skovhus. Benni Skovhus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Guillermo Fontirroig struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Benni Skovhus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. Chile's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
