Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Fenomeno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Miau Stars's goalie and right to Alonso Berganza. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Miau Stars's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Abdulkadir Eraslan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luz Tejedor showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 42 minute of play. Abdulkadir Eraslan made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Luz Tejedor sent off a good shot on target.

Miau Stars's Abdulkadir Eraslan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 68th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Luz Tejedor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abdulkadir Eraslan. Miau Stars's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luz Tejedor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The supporters of Miau Stars booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanuel Reyes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jean-Claude Van Damme blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. There was no doubt that Peru were the better team. Peru's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
