Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Joel Gaona made the kick off and thus started the match. The supporters of SalentoUnited booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Leoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the SalentoUnited defense, Lautaro Mancebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Igor Brandenberg. The SalentoUnited fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Igor Brandenberg should have stopped the shot. Igor Brandenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 11th minute of the match. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mexico's goalie and right to Frasier Huber. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mexico's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 14th minute of the match, Frasier Huber got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dante Lacasa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 17 minutes in the game Leonardo Leoz did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Lautaro Mancebo. 23 minutes into the match, SalentoUnited's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Igor Brandenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute of the game Leonardo Leoz made a throw-in which Lautaro Mancebo played forward. Igor Brandenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. If Octavius Gräf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Igor Brandenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 43rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Joel Gaona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Igor Brandenberg was relentless in the 46th minute of the game.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frasier Huber made a kick off. Frasier Huber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SalentoUnited's Igor Brandenberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save SalentoUnited from getting a goal against them. Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Igor Brandenberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. SalentoUnited's Urbano Hotz was substituted for Frasier Huber. In the 73rd minute of the match, Luca Zorita tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Igor Brandenberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Octavius Gräf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Igor Brandenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 79th minute of the match. In the 81st minute of the match, Alberto Tafalla got a very nice opportunity to score, but Igor Brandenberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Joel Gaona slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Igor Brandenberg. That made the score 0-2 after 85 minutes of play. SalentoUnited's Fox Aiello was substituted for Alexis Veterini. Felix Luque made in the 89th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Lautaro Mancebo. After 95 played minutes SalentoUnited got a freekick which was hit by Kari Fortunin. 96 minutes into the match, SalentoUnited's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Igor Brandenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The SalentoUnited fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
