Christian Proença might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Cotilla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christian Proença ran back to his position shaking his head. 4 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Proença came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute, Christian Proença ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 11th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Zaremba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Matthew Garrido fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Matthew Garrido a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Matthew Garrido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christian Proença scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. よα αςα∂ємια נυиισяѕ's Damian Zaremba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save よα αςα∂ємια נυиισяѕ from getting a goal against them. 31 minutes into the game, よα αςα∂ємια נυиισяѕ's Elbrus Li nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 37th minute よα αςα∂ємια נυиισяѕ were awarded a corner. Rafael Pacheco went to the cornerflag to take it. After 59 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ros. Damian Zaremba came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 93 minutes into the game, よα αςα∂ємια נυиισяѕ's Braulio Toli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. The よα αςα∂ємια נυиισяѕ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing よα αςα∂ємια נυиισяѕ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
