Zbigniew Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 15th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Arnoud Ooms cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Arnoud Ooms put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. 34 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnoud Ooms. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when David Júdice got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 5-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Esteban Lekubegi got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes KP Skępe got a freekick which was hit by Piotr Prusinowski. After some careless play in the KP Skępe defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zbigniew Glogowski. The KP Skępe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zbigniew Glogowski should have stopped the shot. Jose Correa got his second yellow card in the match during the 72nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Efren in the 83rd minute of play. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Zbigniew Glogowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. In the 90th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Venezuela booed when KP Skępe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Piotr Prusinowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. The KP Skępe fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
