With his leg Zbigniew Glogowski managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. David Júdice hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the match, KP Skępe's goalkeeper Zbigniew Glogowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. Cristian Sancho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Zbigniew Glogowski skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Lekubegi in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, KP Skępe's goalkeeper Zbigniew Glogowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. After 67th play minutes Arnoud Ooms shot 4-1, a short shot which went by Julio Vera and just under the crossbar into goal. Zbigniew Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 70th minute of play. The corner ended in Agustín Saelices almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but KP Skępe's Zbigniew Glogowski did a great save. 73 minutes into the match, Stasio Sitko notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zbigniew Glogowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ecuador had played much better football throughout.
