A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Matthew Garrido hit a great ball. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 11 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ros. If Domingo Urki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Urki in the 16th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Fernández's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Alguacil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Seyhan Atlıhan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 杨平帆 kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The supporters of Formentera booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Berganza didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Formentera's Domingo Urki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcos Cotilla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Urki in the 31st minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Seyhan Atlıhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Panama's Seyhan Atlıhan threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tomas Berganza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Formentera's attentive Amador Modestio managed to snatch the ball when Matthew Garrido made a throw-in in the 46th minute of the game.

Marcos Cotilla was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Domingo Urki capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Domingo Urki really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Domingo Urki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. With his leg Marcos Cotilla managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Formentera's Domingo Urki fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Domingo Urki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. Seyhan Atlıhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Domingo Urki who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Marcos Cotilla when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
