Ulises Olivar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Venezuela's Alex Chicote managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kajetan Winograd in the 19 minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marios Kontos got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Piotr Scigan to make the kick off. The supporters of FC Jelonki booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Piotr Scigan, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 58th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wiktor Gruchacz went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 62nd play minutes Piotr Scigan shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. Ulises Olivar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 65th minute. Patricio Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ulises Olivar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piotr Scigan in the 69th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Piotr Scigan came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Olivar having to interfere. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Marios Kontos took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
