When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Edmundo Espiga sped through F.C. Liverpool Tobago's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Palaimon Gomatos. In the 10th minute, Franklin Mitchell-Gift got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13th match minute, F.C. Liverpool Tobago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklin Mitchell-Gift to maneuver through the defense. F.C. Liverpool Tobago's Palaimon Gomatos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Tafalla in the 20th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Edmundo Espiga put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Palaimon Gomatos. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Palaimon Gomatos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Honduras booed when F.C. Liverpool Tobago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin Mitchell-Gift didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 32nd minute of play forced F.C. Liverpool Tobago's goalkeeper Palaimon Gomatos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Palaimon Gomatos. Palaimon Gomatos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Franklin Mitchell-Gift made a kick off. Franklin Mitchell-Gift received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lautaro Navarro came out and tried to block the shot, but Franklin Mitchell-Gift slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 52nd minute. The throw-in from Craig Callendar in the 55th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. Sebastian Villa struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Palaimon Gomatos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. Palaimon Gomatos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 66 minutes of play, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Palaimon Gomatos was left in no man's land by his defense there! 74 minutes into the game, Valentín Carvallo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Honduras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C. Liverpool Tobago the free kick. Valentín Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Lautaro Navarro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 75th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Craig Callendar. In the 76th minute F.C. Liverpool Tobago were awarded a corner. Craig Callendar went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Craig Callendar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lautaro Navarro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Palaimon Gomatos saved F.C. Liverpool Tobago from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 79th managed to get into a good position. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Palaimon Gomatos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85thth minute of the game Sebastian Villa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. Liverpool Tobago's Palaimon Gomatos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Moises Tafalla hit a great ball. After having played for 95 minutes, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Villa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Honduras walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
