The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnaldo Neil got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the game, Camilo Gaos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.F. Leftraro the free kick. In the 26th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Abelado Lavalle in the 27th minute really tested Jonathan Ferrant's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 30 minutes into the match, C.F. Leftraro's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Demetrio Amesti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute of the match Abelado Lavalle shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 37th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Demetrio Amesti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd match minute, C.F. Leftraro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelado Lavalle to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arnaldo Neil made a kick off. A throw-in in the 58th minute of the game was made by Demesio Moroni with Ariel Contardo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. With a little luck, C.F. Leftraro's Demetrio Amesti got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demetrio Amesti having to interfere. In the 65th match minute, C.F. Leftraro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Demesio Moroni to maneuver through the defense. Joshua Secada came free in the 68th minute and tried to tip the ball over Demetrio Amesti, but to the joy of C.F. Leftraro's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. 69 minutes into the game, Patricio Costa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Demetrio Amesti. Patricio Costa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ariel Contardo, made in the 75th minute of the game. In the 79th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Demetrio Amesti was a little too slow when Tomas Illescas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 0-3. In the 87th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. Abelado Lavalle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
