The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Illés Albert helped the player get up and apologised. Illés Albert kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Mehmet Ali Eriş made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Juan Sebastián Puig sent off a good shot on target. Illés Albert got his second yellow card in the match during the 27th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Illés Albert hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mehmet Ali Eriş. Mehmet Ali Eriş dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With his leg Mehmet Ali Eriş managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Mehmet Ali Eriş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 52nd minute of the match. Nazil Harmanda charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nazil Harmanda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nazil Harmanda kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes Bayburtspor got a freekick which was hit by Adem Panas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 74th minute of play forced Bayburtspor's goalkeeper Mehmet Ali Eriş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Bayburtspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aral Karataş didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 80th minute. Bayburtspor's Mehmet Ali Eriş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 82nd minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Felix Montenegro made a precise shot to the right of Mehmet Ali Eriş. Bayburtspor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Bayburtspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adem Panas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mehmet Ali Eriş came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mehmet Ali Eriş. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ecuador fully deserved thier win.
