With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Cordarryl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Cordarryl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in EL FANTASMA de F. Galtero's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Cordarryl came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Xacintu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Federico Xacintu struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EL FANTASMA de F. Galtero. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Federico Xacintu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Federico Xacintu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jairo Maore kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
