Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Francisco Seco kicked off to start the match. After 2 minutes, Maximiliano Escribano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the C. A. Independiente players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of C. A. Independiente booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximiliano Escribano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerry Sellers in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerry Sellers in the 5th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xu Yun Quan got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 18 played minutes C. A. Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Sid Chadwick. Xu Yun Quan in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xu Yun Quan got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Xu Yun Quan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. 27 minutes into the match, Xu Yun Quan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xu Yun Quan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 3-0 became the score in the 29th minute when Kerry Sellers elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. C. A. Independiente were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Uruguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eric Snowden took the corner. The corner led C. A. Independiente's Alfredo Felder to a score. 4-0 in the 35th minute. After 41 played minutes, C. A. Independiente's Eric Snowden shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C. A. Independiente reached it. Jorge Sainz charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Sainz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of C. A. Independiente booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Sainz didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Kerry Sellers tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xu Yun Quan made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Xu Yun Quan came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Melvin Ruffin kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Jaime Cazalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 56 minutes into the game, Kevin Carballal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uruguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C. A. Independiente the free kick. Kevin Carballal hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Snowden, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xu Yun Quan's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xu Yun Quan in the 61st minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xu Yun Quan, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Xu Yun Quan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to C. A. Independiente getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Claudio Marangoni hit a great ball. Jaime Cazalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Farid Mondragón read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. C. A. Independiente's Sidney Forbes was substituted for Xu Yun Quan. 77 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Kerry Sellers came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kerry Sellers in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Uruguay booed when C. A. Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melvin Ruffin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximiliano Escribano got free with Farid Mondragón in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 89th minute, Kerry Sellers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
