With an all-out effort, CAPITAN PILUSO 26.06.11's Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Shen Zhi Qian, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Guido Bautista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Guido Bautista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Eliseo Noboa charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliseo Noboa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Shen Zhi Qian managed to get in a good position for a shot. CAPITAN PILUSO 26.06.11's supporters rose to their feet, but Shen Zhi Qian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Guido Bautista sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Aaron Alcocer charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shen Zhi Qian couldn't finish the play. Guido Bautista took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Elia in the 81st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when CAPITAN PILUSO 26.06.11 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Gonzalez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shen Zhi Qian's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Shen Zhi Qian helped the player get up and apologised. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shen Zhi Qian in the 88th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Shen Zhi Qian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shen Zhi Qian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0.
