Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Garth Brough made the kick off which started today's match. After a rather tough play, Panama's Abraham Alguacil got a free kick in the 4th minute. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Ellis Hoskin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcos Cotilla. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Garth Brough's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Cotilla was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Keylor Navas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 16th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Garth Brough got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Australian Youth Academy's Garth Brough in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Panama's goalie prevented a goal. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ellis Hoskin in the 24th minute of play. After 25 minutes Panama's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rufus Roach who took care of the corner kick. If Garth Brough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garth Brough in the 34th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Garth Brough in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Cotilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Garth Brough blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Cotilla having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Garth Brough got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Keylor Navas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 43 minutes into the game, Abraham Alguacil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Keylor Navas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Australian Youth Academy's Gabriel Martini got a free kick in the 46th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Berganza to make the kick off. Garth Brough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garth Brough in the 54th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Australian Youth Academy's Fletcher Baba was substituted for Gabriel Martini. Australian Youth Academy's Jarrod Mcmillan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Matthew Garrido, made in the 64th minute of the game. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ellis Hoskin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fletcher Baba in the 68th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keylor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Brough in the 73rd minute of play. Garth Brough took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ellis Hoskin in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Fletcher Baba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garth Brough in the 83rd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Cambeiro hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fletcher Baba, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Garth Brough scored 3-1 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 93rd minute, Garth Brough left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Australian Youth Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Australian Youth Academy had played much better football throughout.
