Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastian Malm to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Cambeiro to maneuver through the defense. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Cotilla showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Felipe Ros hit a great ball. Abraham Alguacil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, Zlatanera could leave the field as winners, despite Panama having more of the ball for most of the match.
