An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 12th minute of play forced Alzaga FC's goalkeeper Arcadio Buendia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute of the match USA got a corner. Alzaga FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cassius Byrne ran over to the corner to take the kick. Arcadio Buendia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 15th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Adrián Czornomaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute of the match, Monty Rogers tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arcadio Buendia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 18th minute of play forced Alzaga FC's goalkeeper Arcadio Buendia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. USA's Diego Bradley was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arcadio Buendia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrián Czornomaz in the 22nd minute of play. Alzaga FC's Arcadio Buendia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 24th minute of play. Edward Mcdonald took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arcadio Buendia. Arcadio Buendia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When USA's Monty Rogers in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alzaga FC's goalie prevented a goal. Alzaga FC's Adrián Czornomaz got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cassius Byrne got in the 39th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Arcadio Buendia handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The USA fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when USA's Cassius Byrne looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leon Goretzka made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 53rd minute of play forced Alzaga FC's goalkeeper Arcadio Buendia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. USA's Monty Rogers was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arcadio Buendia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alzaga FC's Arcadio Buendia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zach Harrison in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Alzaga FC's Leon Goretzka sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Day narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. Alzaga FC's Paulino Avellaneda was substituted for Pan Lang Bin. The supporters of USA booed when Alzaga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Miro didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Alzaga FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Adrián Czornomaz hit a great ball. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. After a rather tough play, Alzaga FC's Adrián Czornomaz got a free kick in the 79th minute. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Goretzka in the 81st minute of play. Marco Baker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Arcadio Buendia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Alzaga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Baker came free, but Arcadio Buendia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leon Goretzka. Jacob May made in the 93rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Sam Campbell however managed to control. If Khalid Parry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
