Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Tomas Illescas made the kick off and thus started the match. Australian Youth Academy's Herman Heberle quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Salvador Gisbert, made in the 3rd minute of the game. Australian Youth Academy's Dani Cochrane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 9th minute of play. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Dani Cochrane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Cochrane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dani Cochrane saved Australian Youth Academy from getting behind. Ollie Flesfadar kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dani Cochrane having to make a save. Dani Cochrane didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Dani Cochrane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Cochrane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Tomas Illescas put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Dani Cochrane. 43 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Dani Cochrane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Venezuela were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olliver Todman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dani Cochrane having to interfere. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Dani Cochrane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ollie Flesfadar hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute of the match, Tomas Illescas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dani Cochrane was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Tomas Illescas took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Dani Cochrane to make any attempt to save it. Dani Cochrane made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute, Tomas Illescas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dani Cochrane. The goal made the score 0-5. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 87 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Dani Cochrane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dani Cochrane having to make a save. Venezuela played a much better game than Australian Youth Academy and deserved their victory. The Australian Youth Academy players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
