Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Axel Tasis kicked off to start the match. In the 6th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abel Carballo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 9 minutes into the match. After having played for 11 minutes, Alexandre Pombal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quebra Ossos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Pombal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osmar Eger in the 14th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Augusto Bittencourt in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute Quebra Ossos FC were awarded a corner. Osmar Eger went to the cornerflag to take it. Osmar Eger made a great header on Quebra Ossos FC's corner, it was just that Costa Rica's Benito Sanz managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 45th minute, João Augusto Bittencourt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quebra Ossos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half Quebra Ossos FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Alexandre Pombal made the kick off in the second half. João Augusto Bittencourt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but João Augusto Bittencourt slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 52nd minute. Osmar Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 57th minute of the match Axel Tasis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Téo Fonseca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 59 minutes into the game, Lautaro Puig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quebra Ossos FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 59th minute. If Alexandre Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Augusto Bittencourt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. A nice corner shot did that Osmar Eger got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benito Sanz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osmar Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the game, Alexandre Pombal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 75 played minutes Quebra Ossos FC got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Galvão. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexandre Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre Pombal charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandre Pombal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Quebra Ossos FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Alexandre Pombal hit a great ball. In the 96th minute, Alexandre Pombal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quebra Ossos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. The Quebra Ossos FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Quebra Ossos FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
