Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Piotr Kociniewski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rothenburg SSA's supporters rose to their feet, but Piotr Kociniewski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Piotr Kociniewski scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 1-1. After 39 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lucjan Golaszewski who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Rothenburg SSA's corner Zbyszek Werra fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. The corner ended in Radoslaw Michalski almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Piotr Kociniewski put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Rothenburg SSA's Igor Dembowski suffered a sore thigh after 50 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead. Rothenburg SSA made a substitution. Szczepan Zielinski replaced Igor Dembowski. After 51 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. In the 53rd minute, Zbyszek Werra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kajetan Pruss in the 54th minute of the match.
