Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Jonathan Alphonse sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Saint Jean Pierre during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Saint Jean Pierre hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 21st match minute, Haiti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernso Constant to maneuver through the defense. Ernso Constant's late challenge caught a Vestmanna FS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernso Constant helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Vestmanna FS booed when Haiti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernso Constant didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 minutes, Alex Rói Jacobsen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vestmanna FS and the Haiti players grew even worse after the yellow card. Haiti made a substitution. Edmond Thomas replaced Ernso Constant. In the 26th minute, Alex Rói Jacobsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Alphonse got free with Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fróði Falkenberg got a throw-in 61 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Herbert Kruse. After a defensive mix-up in Vestmanna FS's zone, Edmond Thomas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen came out of the goal and Edmond Thomas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gesner Philippe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haiti's attentive Jean Claude Ulysse managed to snatch the ball when John Thorsteinsson made a throw-in in the 76th minute of the game. Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Alphonse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, Jonathan Alphonse made a precise shot to the right of Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen. Vestmanna FS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 88 played minutes Vestmanna FS got a freekick which was hit by Brian Højsted. After a rather tough play, Vestmanna FS's Amed Olsen got a free kick in the 91st minute. Edmond Thomas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haiti's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
