Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Zorita made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute, Urrutia Chavarria reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 6th minute, Siete de Octubre's Urrutia Chavarria dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Fausto Sotres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Siete de Octubre's Fausto Sotres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Fausto Sotres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fausto Sotres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 14th minute of the match. Urrutia Chavarria blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Fausto Sotres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th match minute, Siete de Octubre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mendoza Truebano to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Sotres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fausto Sotres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the game, Antonio Arias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Siete de Octubre the free kick. After 42 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. When Aguirre Vialpando came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Siete de Octubre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aguirre Vialpando couldn't finish the play. Dennis Casanande kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Siete de Octubre made a substitution. Washington Caroll replaced Cruz Vagrande. The wind increased when Urrutia Chavarria made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto Sotres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fausto Sotres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 56th minute of play. Camilo Gisbert made in the 58th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Luis Andino however managed to control. Urrutia Chavarria struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Siete de Octubre. Fausto Sotres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 66th minute of the match. Siete de Octubre's Fausto Sotres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Arias in the 67th minute of play. Ascencio Vicuña's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ascencio Vicuña helped the player get up and apologised. Siete de Octubre's Aquilino Dubardo was substituted for Ordóñez Caloca. Ascencio Vicuña hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the game, one of Ecuador:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vellito Loaisa, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Vellito Loaisa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Aguirre Vialpando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Vellito Loaisa scored 5-1 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
