When Meninos De Cotia's Ramon Del Piero in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, Meninos De Cotia's Paolo Maldini got a free kick in the 44th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Ademir Soares made the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 52 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Hugo Rodrigues managed to make a qualified save. Meninos De Cotia's players were relieved. The audience was convinced that Ademir Soares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hugo Rodrigues firmly grabbed it by the left post. 93 minutes into the match, Ademir Soares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ademir Soares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Meninos De Cotia had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
