An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Tafalla in the 5th minute of play forced MZ Rapid's goalkeeper Cătălin Chinezu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esteban Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petru Huștea in the 11th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Petru Huștea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cătălin Chinezu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Petru Huștea hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Tafalla in the 26th minute of play forced MZ Rapid's goalkeeper Cătălin Chinezu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cătălin Chinezu saved MZ Rapid from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Edmundo Espiga put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cătălin Chinezu. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romeo Chelaru got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Romeo Chelaru's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lautaro Navarro firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 46 minutes, Edmundo Espiga made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. MZ Rapid's Cătălin Chinezu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the game Sabin Mihu made a throw-in which Mihnea Grigoriu played forward. Petru Huștea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Chelaru in the 56th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cătălin Chinezu having to interfere. Cătălin Chinezu came out of the goal and Sebastian Villa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Ivan Navarro got a free kick in the 84th minute. After 85 minutes of play, MZ Rapid's Romeo Chelaru made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 90th minute, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petru Huștea, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Cătălin Chinezu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edmundo Espiga showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-5 in the 97 minute of play.
