Martin Rito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Fernandino in the 6th minute of play. If Gustavo Eladio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Eladio in the 8th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Gustavo Eladio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, one of El Salvador:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for El Salvador. The goalkeeper, Ricardo Zorita, was totally fooled by C. A. BELGRANO's Gustavo Eladio, who 13 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Ricardo Zorita made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Gustavo Eladio sent off a good shot on target. If Rigoberto Lauaxeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When C. A. BELGRANO's Rigoberto Lauaxeta in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Salvador's goalie prevented a goal. Adolfo Guib sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. C. A. BELGRANO's Washington Santos quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luis Rubio, made in the 36th minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Gustavo Eladio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustavo Eladio made a kick off. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Jesus Carvallo hit a great ball. If Gustavo Eladio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 57 minutes into the match, Gustavo Eladio notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustavo Eladio in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Zorita saved El Salvador from getting behind. The C. A. BELGRANO fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when C. A. BELGRANO's Gustavo Eladio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. C. A. BELGRANO made a substitution. Aureliano Ovando replaced Gustavo Eladio. C. A. BELGRANO's Melchor Galindo was substituted for Rigoberto Lauaxeta. C. A. BELGRANO made a substitution. Nunez Noe replaced Silvio Valerio. The C. A. BELGRANO fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when C. A. BELGRANO's Aureliano Ovando looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aureliano Ovando, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Valentino Ferrant hit a great ball. C. A. BELGRANO's Aureliano Ovando got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Melchor Galindo took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Ovando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Aureliano Ovando left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. A. BELGRANO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Ovando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melchor Galindo in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Melchor Galindo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Adolfo Guib managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. BELGRANO's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Guib was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Zorita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Aureliano Ovando's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. When the referee ended the match the C. A. BELGRANO players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
