Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Francisco Seco took the kick off in the first half of the match. Aage Hill blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. In the 7th minute of the match Monte Hermoso Beach got a corner. Uruguay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Viktor Petrus ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Viktor Petrus got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joaquin Gayoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 10 minutes into the game, Aage Hill recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. Aage Hill showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aage Hill. Joaquin Gayoso was a little too slow when Aage Hill got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 2-0. 18 minutes into the match, Aage Hill notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Monte Hermoso Beach's Aage Hill got a free kick in the 20th minute. Monte Hermoso Beach's Aage Hill got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Joaquin Gayoso managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Monte Hermoso Beach's Aage Hill fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aage Hill in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 34th minute of play forced Monte Hermoso Beach's goalkeeper Zachariasz Chmielecki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zachariasz Chmielecki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camilo Franco in the 36th minute of the match. Uruguay were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Monte Hermoso Beach's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Cazalla took the corner. When Aage Hill came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Monte Hermoso Beach fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aage Hill couldn't finish the play. Hector Montrel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Monte Hermoso Beach made a substitution. Siro Suarez replaced Fulgencio Pudes. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hector Montrel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jorge Sainz made in the 56th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Camilo Franco immediately put the ball in play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hector Montrel in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. Hector Montrel struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monte Hermoso Beach. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hector Montrel's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Flavius Marchiș was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 66 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the game, one of Monte Hermoso Beach:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Zachariasz Chmielecki had in the 67thth minute some difficulties stopping Jaime Cazalla's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Monte Hermoso Beach's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jaime Cazalla was slow to take the kick. During this time Uruguay's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla to fire away a dangerous shot which Zachariasz Chmielecki despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Montrel came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 75 minutes Uruguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Viktor Petrus who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Viktor Petrus got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joaquin Gayoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 76th minute, Hector Montrel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monte Hermoso Beach fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. In the 79th minute, Hector Montrel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. 84 minutes into the match, Monte Hermoso Beach's Hector Montrel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Uruguay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Viktor Petrus was slow to take the kick. During this time Monte Hermoso Beach's players had a chance to rest. A very nice done corner allowed Hector Montrel to score against Joaquin Gayoso in Uruguay's goal. 7-0 after 86 minutes. Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hector Montrel went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. If Viktor Petrus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zachariasz Chmielecki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 93rd minute. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Montrel in the 95th minute of play. When Camilo Covarrubias fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Camilo Covarrubias a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Camilo Covarrubias hit a great ball. 98 minutes into the match, Monte Hermoso Beach's Viktor Petrus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Uruguay's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
