Mihăiţă Jder kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Mihăiţă Jder charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mihăiţă Jder the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 15 played minutes Eintracht Cernavoda got a freekick which was hit by Mihăiţă Jder. In the 16th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionică Corcoveanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ionică Corcoveanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of the match. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionică Corcoveanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mihăiţă Jder was shown his second yellow card after 25 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Mihăiţă Jder kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 28th minute of play forced Eintracht Cernavoda's goalkeeper Ionică Corcoveanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Luis Andino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ionică Corcoveanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Primitivo Andino made in the 42nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Felix Montenegro however managed to control. Yin Li Ying sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Eintracht Cernavoda getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Codrin Izbașa hit a great ball. After 48 played minutes Eintracht Cernavoda got a freekick which was hit by Codrin Izbașa.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Eintracht Cernavoda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Huey Bom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Huey Bom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Ecuador's Felix Montes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Ionică Corcoveanu in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Ionică Corcoveanu made a huge save. After 78 minutes, Daniel Zorita made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Eintracht Cernavoda's Ionică Corcoveanu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ionică Corcoveanu. That made the score 0-4 after 81 minutes of play. Codrin Izbașa hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Codrin Izbașa, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 91st minute, Mikael Isak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Eintracht Cernavoda throughout the match.
