Lautaro Mancebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pål Bergmann having to make a save. 5 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ģirts Ozols. DZINTARS's Pål Bergmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kārlis Dzintars in the 8th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valts Nebars hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bryant Solis in the 13th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Facundo Cadaval recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in DZINTARS's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pål Bergmann came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pål Bergmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 22nd minute of play forced DZINTARS's goalkeeper Pål Bergmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pål Bergmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 27th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ģirts Ozols, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ģirts Ozols got free with Dante Lacasa in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pål Bergmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kārlis Dzintars in the 37th minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bryant Solis made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute Egons Ozollapa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to DZINTARS getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Egons Ozollapa hit a great ball. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henrihs Linkūns was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Luca Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pål Bergmann having to interfere. When Bryant Solis came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the DZINTARS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bryant Solis couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Pål Bergmann. DZINTARS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Mexico booed when DZINTARS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egons Ozollapa didn't get a good kick on the ball.
