Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Merlin Castro started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Khachatryan booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jermaine Richmond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jermaine Richmond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Merlin Castro got free with Julio Vera in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Merlin Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. When Khachatryan's Merlin Castro in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Tigran Kirakosyan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Jermaine Richmond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a rather tough play, Khachatryan's Albert Paulíny got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Jermaine Richmond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jermaine Richmond having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Khachatryan's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Jermaine Richmond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Sung McKinley came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jermaine Richmond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jermaine Richmond having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Albert Paulíny who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Sung McKinley almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Khachatryan made a substitution. Cesar Holland replaced Zé Augusto Souza. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jermaine Richmond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Khachatryan's Hu Wei Shu was substituted for Petros Oganesyan. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hu Wei Shu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Merlin Castro in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 75th minute of the match Hu Wei Shu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Khachatryan's goalkeeper Jermaine Richmond had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. After 78 minutes of play, Khachatryan's Sung McKinley made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sung McKinley in the 81st minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jermaine Richmond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Jermaine Richmond made a huge save. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
