After 7 minutes, Luis Escobar made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Luis Escobar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luis Escobar really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Escobar got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ruy Berger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Tomasini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Escobar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Ruy Berger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Berger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, ALIANZA 1901's Luis Escobar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luis Escobar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, ALIANZA 1901's Richie Ason got a free kick in the 54th minute. ALIANZA 1901 were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nazario Ispuzua took the corner. ALIANZA 1901's Nazario Ispuzua was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rojelio Daza's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rojelio Daza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute, Rojelio Daza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 69 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Secada. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 71st minute. When Nazario Ispuzua came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the ALIANZA 1901 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nazario Ispuzua couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Escobar in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richie Ason in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, ALIANZA 1901's Pancho Tabernilla got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Tomas Illescas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Ruy Berger skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. ALIANZA 1901 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
