Joaquin Gayoso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Vladimir Tomanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Nacho Barbutski came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Loko Plovdiv was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Parvan Aladzhemov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Cazalla took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vladimir Tomanov. Loko Plovdiv's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nacho Barbutski in the 31st minute. Vladimir Tomanov had in the 35thth minute some difficulties stopping Jaime Cazalla's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a long run with the ball, Jaime Cazalla did a trick in the 35th minute in front of Loko Plovdiv's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 2-1. An impressive performance by Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla! In a very dangerous position, a player in Uruguay fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! Uruguay:s Joaquin Gayoso showed great skill when he stopped Nacho Barbutski:s penalty. 43 minutes into the match, Nacho Barbutski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joaquin Gayoso, 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Seco made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Nacho Barbutski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Nacho Barbutski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nacho Barbutski in the 54th minute of the match. Genadi Ahmakov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Loko Plovdiv's Dencho Yashev was substituted for Genadi Ahmakov. 62 minutes into the match, Loko Plovdiv's Nacho Barbutski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Francisco Seco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Vladimir Tomanov when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 64 minutes into the game, Francisco Seco lined in a short shot 4-2 behind a frustrated Vladimir Tomanov. After 66 minutes of play Uruguay's Jorge Sainz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Jorge Sainz kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Nacho Barbutski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Loko Plovdiv's Nacho Barbutski was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Joaquin Gayoso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla got a free kick in the 78th minute. The audience was convinced that Nacho Barbutski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Loko Plovdiv's Vladimir Tomanov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Loko Plovdiv from getting a goal against them.
