El Atrapa Sueños
Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Onega took the kick off in the first half of the match. Aristides Lluc scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aristides Lluc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Aristides Lluc ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Nicanor Ascencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Aristides Lluc came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute El Pulpo Paceño were awarded a corner. Kamil Glik went to the cornerflag to take it. 19 minutes into the game, Aristides Lluc was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Pulpo Paceño's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Aristides Lluc sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd minute of the match, Aristides Lluc tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 24 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute. Svetoslav Genkov kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th minute Aristides Lluc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Nicanor Ascencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Lluc in the 37th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicanor Ascencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute of play. If Ysmael Abad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristides Lluc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Balasi Berar hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 53rd match minute, El Pulpo Paceño was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Balasi Berar to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, El Pulpo Paceño's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 59 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. Nicanor Ascencio made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Nicanor Ascencio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 64th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Onega in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Onega's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the game, Joélson Guerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Pulpo Paceño's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Joélson Guerra hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when El Pulpo Paceño was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Onega didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Aristides Lluc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Aristides Lluc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. El Pulpo Paceño's Joseph Lockwood was substituted for Aristides Lluc. The throw-in from Camilo Gisbert in the 85th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by El Pulpo Paceño's Idacio Abecia. Joseph Lockwood struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Pulpo Paceño. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The El Pulpo Paceño players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
