Abram Luque hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute, 秦晨战 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Moises Fernandino struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. 温渊岚 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Salvador. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 莫轩光 in the 37th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Salvador's supporters rose to their feet, but Moises Fernandino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 温渊岚 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
