After 5 minutes of play, Nytäppet Fc's Dušan Vlahović made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 8th minute, Ove Lekberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 12 played minutes Nytäppet Fc got a freekick which was hit by Niclas Malmberg. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Nytäppet Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niclas Malmberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peter Gustafsson in the 25th minute. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Radomir Gerlach was slow to take the kick. During this time Nytäppet Fc's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Nytäppet Fc's corner Cordara Larrave fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. After 27 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dušan Vlahović in the 36th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sture Abrahamsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dušan Vlahović in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. The supporters of Nytäppet Fc booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Sture Abrahamsson made a huge save. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haritz Trespuentes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sture Abrahamsson having to interfere. After 67 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Patricio Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sture Abrahamsson having to make a save. 73 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sture Abrahamsson, 1-2. In the 80thth minute of the game Dušan Vlahović who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Haritz Trespuentes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Haritz Trespuentes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haritz Trespuentes in the 91st minute of play. The Venezuela players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Nytäppet Fc from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
