Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Czeslaw Loncki. 7 minutes into the game, Dušan Vlahović recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Dušan Vlahović showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Carrete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dušan Vlahović in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Dušan Vlahović could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Milian Claudio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Puig, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 25th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Rodolfo Carrete stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Rodolfo Carrete tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Czeslaw Loncki in the 29th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dušan Vlahović, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Sedat Akarslan in the 38th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dušan Vlahović during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dušan Vlahović didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dušan Vlahović kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Salvadore Sotelo to strike the kick off in the second half. Czeslaw Loncki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Axel Tasis hit a great ball. Rodolfo Carrete recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Salvadore Sotelo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 64th minute Salvadore Sotelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan's Salvadore Sotelo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Rodolfo Carrete hit a great ball. After 69 played minutes, Costa Rica's Abel Carballo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Milian Claudio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Costa Rica reached it. When Lautaro Puig came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Puig couldn't finish the play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Czeslaw Loncki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, Wincenty Juroszek notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 82nd minute, Abel Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute, Rodolfo Carrete made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-2. Salvadore Sotelo took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-2. 95 minutes into the match, Salvadore Sotelo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Salvadore Sotelo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-2.
