After 14 minutes of play, Club Atlético Belgrano's Ermegildo Rolado made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Urbano Herauso took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ermegildo Rolado ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Saul Filipo managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After having played for 47 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvis Cachero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Clementi came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Elano Pimenta made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Saul Filipo in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Domingo Pedroso made in the 89th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ermegildo Rolado immediately put the ball in play. A collision led to Club Atlético Belgrano getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Saul Filipo hit a great ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urbano Herauso in the 95th minute of play. Kutalp Tümerkan kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Club Atlético Belgrano were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
