Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Julian Murillo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Maurinho Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. Birila Graña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Manu Betancur in the 8th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Alonso Berganza. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Maurinho Mendonça sped through Peru's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. In the 21st minute Maurinho Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Birila Graña stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Birila Graña prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurinho Mendonça in the 30th minute of play. Maurinho Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. 39 minutes into the game, Tiadoro Folguera threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Alonso Berganza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Birila Graña showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Fraga in the 41st minute of the match. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maurinho Mendonça to make the kick off. Claretiano FC's Manu Betancur managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alonso Berganza in the 53 minute of the game. Qu Lei Chang took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After some careless play in the Claretiano FC defense, Luz Tejedor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Birila Graña. The Claretiano FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Birila Graña should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Joaquin Prats hit a great ball. Manu Betancur hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Peru's Birila Graña threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luz Tejedor, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Birila Graña made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 72nd minute. Birila Graña came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Claretiano FC made a substitution. Gelacio Salceda replaced Qu Lei Chang. Manu Betancur made in the 93rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Maurinho Mendonça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Claretiano FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Peru had controlled the match.
