A wasted opportunity for 南安普顿圣徒. 卓坚枫 succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 16th playminute. 乔洲弘 who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Lautaro Navarro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Honduras fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Honduras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 南安普顿圣徒 the free kick. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. If Christian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 94 minutes, Moises Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Honduras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than 南安普顿圣徒 throughout the match.
