In the 18th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Robledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcelo Robledo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, GKS Pszczyna's Wincent Tamulewicz got a free kick in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the match, GKS Pszczyna's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Marcelo Robledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domingos Andrade. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to GKS Pszczyna getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Aureliusz Cebula hit a great ball. Zachariasz Zachemski hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Marcelo Robledo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 64th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zachariasz Zachemski in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. With a little luck, GKS Pszczyna's Marcelo Robledo got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 70th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. At last the ball reached Luis Andino at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of GKS Pszczyna. 0-2. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zachariasz Zachemski in the 73rd minute of play. In the 76th minute, Antonio Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelo Robledo made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Agustín Saelices fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcelo Robledo quite easily take care of the ball. Marcelo Robledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marcelo Robledo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rostislav Vorobiev, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After a rather tough play, GKS Pszczyna's Rostislav Vorobiev got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
