Unidad de Matanza's Jonatan Eguzki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play. Máximo Kirchner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Michal Stehno sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michal Stehno in the 20th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the last second Julio Vera throw himself and got hold of the ball when Máximo Kirchner in the 22ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Michal Stehno sent off a good shot on target. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! In the 40th of the match, Martin Grøtterud tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Julio Vera got in the way and made a wonderful save. A collision led to Unidad de Matanza getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Michal Stehno hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.
