FC Santo Giorgio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Facundo Cadaval hit a great ball. FC Santo Giorgio's Silvano Laurin shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 15th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dante Lacasa but with some difficulty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nico Garrido got free with Dante Lacasa in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Santo Giorgio's Chico Vass played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Joel Gaona made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that FC Santo Giorgio's Chico Vass managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 21st minute of the match Mexico got a corner. FC Santo Giorgio's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Silvano Laurin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dante Lacasa. That made the score 1-1 in the 23 minute of play. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Chico Vass didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. In the 66th match minute, FC Santo Giorgio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zenon Gibowski to maneuver through the defense. FC Santo Giorgio's Alex Garrido was substituted for Silvano Laurin. After 67 played minutes FC Santo Giorgio got a freekick which was hit by Zenon Gibowski. In the 71st minute, Endre Hegedűs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Chico Vass tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Vass saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
