Alejo Meder dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Alejo Meder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Matias Kradi sent off a good shot on target. In the 12th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Alejo Meder. KяαdivÄch3 FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The audience was convinced that Felix Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alejo Meder was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. 20 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alejo Meder made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After 23 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. In the 24th minute, Jaime Reno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KяαdivÄch3 FC's Alejo Meder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alejo Meder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Aquiles Chorache sent off a good shot on target. Alejo Meder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After some careless play in the KяαdivÄch3 FC defense, Agustín Saelices kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alejo Meder. The KяαdivÄch3 FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alejo Meder should have stopped the shot. 39 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Reno came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alejo Meder saved KяαdivÄch3 FC from getting behind. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.
The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Alejo Meder. KяαdivÄch3 FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristian Sancho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alejo Meder. That made the score 0-6 in the 58 minute of play. Camilo Gisbert charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Gisbert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 64 minutes into the game, one of Ecuador:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Julio Vera had in the 65thth minute some difficulties stopping Aquiles Chorache's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Aquiles Chorache notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Matias Kradi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Alejo Meder managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Alejo Meder in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquiles Chorache in the 75th minute of the match. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. 88 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho lined in a short shot 1-8 behind a frustrated Alejo Meder. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Alejo Meder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Meder having to interfere. Alejo Meder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 98th minute. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
