With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emilio Munio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Emilio Munio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 75th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Emilio Munio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Kraig Rowley came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Acercate Y Patea de Lejos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kraig Rowley couldn't finish the play. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Efraim Gilabert helped the player get up and apologised. When the match was over Peru could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Acercate Y Patea de Lejos throughout the match.
