Murillo Ferreira made in the 5th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Humberto Fernandes. Maurício Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Alphonse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Felix Dorval came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Haiti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Dorval couldn't finish the play. São Bento's Maurício Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Alphonse in the 19th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in São Bento's zone, Raymond Louis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurício Veiga came out of the goal and Raymond Louis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute, Jonathan Alphonse left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Haiti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Haiti booed when São Bento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Alphonse in the 35th minute of play forced São Bento's goalkeeper Maurício Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Noel Seide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Fernandes in the 37th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Jonathan Alphonse notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of São Bento's Maurício Veiga. Maurício Veiga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Maurício Veiga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernso Constant's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The São Bento players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Haiti were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Humberto Fernandes made a kick off. In the 54th minute, São Bento's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ernso Constant fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Arthur Pena made in the 56th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Anísio Vale however managed to control. When Anísio Vale came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the São Bento fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anísio Vale couldn't finish the play. 60 minutes into the match, São Bento's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Alphonse came free, but Maurício Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernso Constant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Maurício Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Dorval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Anísio Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernso Constant hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute Humberto Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Seide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Haiti booed when São Bento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Soares in the 89th minute of play forced Haiti's goalkeeper Noel Seide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anísio Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haiti's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
