After 12 played minutes, La manada fc's Kamel Medaci shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La manada fc reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samir Menad in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bienvenido Largacha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as La manada fc's Tuna Erengüç slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-0 after 23 minutes of play. Bienvenido Largacha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Samir Menad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant stood somewhat misplaced when Bienvenido Largacha came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 32 minute. In the 36th minute Bienvenido Largacha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 38 minutes, Samir Menad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La manada fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samir Menad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Venezuela booed when La manada fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamel Medaci didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bienvenido Largacha came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the La manada fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bienvenido Largacha couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. La manada fc's Bienvenido Largacha got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bienvenido Largacha took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bienvenido Largacha in the 58th minute of the match. Bienvenido Largacha took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. La manada fc's Mohamed Merzekane was substituted for Tuna Erengüç. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bienvenido Largacha in the 64th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Bienvenido Largacha managed to get in a good position for a shot. La manada fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Bienvenido Largacha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Lakhdar Belmadi in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Djamal Beloufa in the 72nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mehdi Larbes during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of La manada fc:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Venezuela:s goal. In the 81st minute, Bienvenido Largacha made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomas Illescas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lakhdar Belmadi. That made the score 6-2 in the 86 minute of play. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Lakhdar Belmadi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela.
