Gasteiz Latorre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gasteiz Latorre in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Gasteiz Latorre sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jeremy Avellana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The throw-in from Felix Garrido in the 16th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Danilo Mendonça. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 17th minute of play forced Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goalkeeper Jeremy Avellana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Casaus to maneuver through the defense. When Gasteiz Latorre came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Club Dep. Soc. Rodo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gasteiz Latorre couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Club Dep. Soc. Rodo getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Guto Pirani hit a great ball. Gasteiz Latorre didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-1 via right post in the game's 29th minute. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Jeremy Avellana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Mariano Lacasa scored 1-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeremy Avellana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jeremy Avellana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 43rd minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Alan Tamayo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chile's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Dep. Soc. Rodo the free kick. In the 44th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Tamayo to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Club Dep. Soc. Rodo made a substitution. Anthon Öberg replaced Gasteiz Latorre. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Cao Kuan Wei was substituted for Marco Aguirre. Felix Garrido kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anthon Öberg's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. In the 62nd minute, Anthon Öberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anthon Öberg in the 65th minute of the match. In the 66thth minute of the game Anthon Öberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chile's Thiago Pliego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 69th minute Anthon Öberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute of the game Ipar Capitan made a throw-in which Cao Kuan Wei played forward. Felix Garrido made in the 77th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Del Manfredi. Jeremy Avellana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anthon Öberg in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Jeremy Avellana got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 98 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Casaus. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Chile had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
