Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Primitivo Andino made in the 7th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Felix Montenegro however managed to control. In the 9th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute of play forced Nusnäs IF's goalkeeper Clodoveo Rojas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brian Wållander's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brian Wållander helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Nusnäs IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brian Wållander didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Nusnäs IF's Bai Peng Ning sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Bai Peng Ning's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. 23 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Nusnäs IF's Clodoveo Rojas. Clodoveo Rojas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nusnäs IF's Clodoveo Rojas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute of play. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bai Peng Ning in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 38th minute of the match Nusnäs IF got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Svenne Berka ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Nusnäs IF booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Bai Peng Ning tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

51 minutes into the match, Nusnäs IF's goalkeeper Clodoveo Rojas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Bai Peng Ning recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. If Bai Peng Ning had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bai Peng Ning, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nusnäs IF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Clodoveo Rojas, making the score, 1-2. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Nusnäs IF's Bai Peng Ning. But to his dismay, Bai Peng Ning quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Bai Peng Ning struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nusnäs IF. Nusnäs IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Svenne Berka in the 81st minute. A nice corner shot did that Svenne Berka got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Bai Peng Ning sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clodoveo Rojas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Nusnäs IF were furious when Osvald Josefsson was red carded, 90 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clodoveo Rojas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
