Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Olympique Deleon's Eurico Aguiar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Johan Cruijff tried to sneak it across the goal line. Francisco Seco charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Seco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Francisco Seco hit a great ball. Mathias Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After 9 played minutes Olympique Deleon got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Rossi. After 10 played minutes Olympique Deleon got a freekick which was hit by Eurico Aguiar. The referee felt a red card was in order, 13 minutes into the game, when Abelardo Galvão put in a rough tackle. Olympique Deleon:s Rogério Pinho showed great skill when he stopped Jaime Cazalla:s penalty. Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Olympique Deleon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Olympique Deleon's goalkeeper Rogério Pinho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 27th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogério Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The audience was convinced that Maximiliano Escribano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rogério Pinho was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Olympique Deleon's Rogério Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 33rd minute of play. Rogério Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 34th minute of the match. Ronaldo Nazario hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Olympique Deleon's Rogério Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Gisbert in the 41st minute of play. After some careless play in the Olympique Deleon defense, Francisco Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rogério Pinho. The Olympique Deleon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rogério Pinho should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Seco was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Olympique Deleon booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Covarrubias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uruguay's Francisco Seco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rogério Pinho in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Benjamin Paraense made in the 93rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. Rogério Pinho made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. Uruguay played a much better game than Olympique Deleon and deserved their victory. The Olympique Deleon players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
