Hugo Orlando Artigas hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Julio Vera stood somewhat misplaced when Bernardo Colle came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 8 minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play forced PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC's goalkeeper Guntademaro Macera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guntademaro Macera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 15th minute of play. After some careless play in the PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC defense, Luis Andino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guntademaro Macera. The PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guntademaro Macera should have stopped the shot. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Guntademaro Macera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guntademaro Macera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Guntademaro Macera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Guntademaro Macera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardo Colle made a kick off. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Viñe in the 61st minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Viñe came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Colle in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Bombai Mülayim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th match minute, PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bombai Mülayim to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Colle came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Bernardo Colle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 84th minute. After 85 played minutes, PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC's Ceferino Echeverría shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC reached it. In the 93rd minute, Bombai Mülayim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
