Alberto Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hortêncio Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. A nice corner shot did that Hortêncio Nogueira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dante Lacasa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 26 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Macos Graciani. In the 30th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 齐磊银 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 31st minute. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Rouco got a free kick in the 50th minute. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olov Skager, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 齐磊银 made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 齐磊银. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
